Question from Inder, a student:

what is used in real world to measure heights of tall objects? besides Clinometer or shadows, waht else is their that is used to measure tall objects.

Inder,

If the object is vertical or overhanging and not too tall, a light inelastic line with a small weight on the end can be lowered, retrieved, and measured.

Modern high-precision GPS systems can be accurate to within ten centimeters.

Good Hunting!
