Question from Inder, a student: what is used in real world to measure heights of tall objects? besides Clinometer or shadows, waht else is their that is used to measure tall objects. |
Inder,
If the object is vertical or overhanging and not too tall, a light inelastic line with a small weight on the end can be lowered, retrieved, and measured.
Modern high-precision GPS systems can be accurate to within ten centimeters.
