Question from Jack:

I am responsible for setting up groups for 16 golfers for 7 days, is there a formula to calculate playing partners so that everyone gets to play with each person?

Jack,

With 16 players every pair can play together exactly once over 5 rounds. That schedule is in the archive. Go to Quandaries and Queries and use the Quick Search to search for the term golf 16. I'd use it, and then "renumber" the players (so that A, B, C, etc are all different people than for the first five rounds) and use the first two days of it again. It is the most balanced schedule you can have.
