All three of these numbers are 5 plus a little bit (a fraction less than 1) so you just need to order the fractional parts to see how to order the mixed numbers.

First look at 7/9 and 11/18. What is a common denominator for these fractions? Express them both with this denominator. Which is larger?

Find an equivalent fraction to 1/2 which has the same denominator as you used in the previous paragraph. Where does 1/2 fit in relation to 7/9 and 11/18?
