Question from kebede:

John has 20 fewer nickels than dimes. The total of the nickels and dimes if $12.35. How many of each coin does she have?

Hi Kebede.

For every nickel that pairs with a dime, you have 15 cents. But you have 20 extra dimes, so that's $2 extra.

So how many pairs of (nickel+dime) are in 10.35?

Hope this hint helps!
