Question from Luke, a student:

Ben challenges you to guess his favourite numbers by using the following three clues:

-Each number is a four-digit odd number.

-Each is a palindrome

-The digits of each number add up to 10

-None of the numbers are divisible by 5

Luke,

  1. Ben cannot count! There are four clues.

  2. If it's a palindrome, that means its digits have the form ABBA

  3. If ABBA is odd and not divisible by 5, what could A be?

  4. If A+B+B+A add to 10, what is A+B?

Good Hunting!
