Question from Dawn, a student:

x” -6x+9-4y

Hi Dawn,

Are you sure that you have typed this problem correctly? The subject of your email was factorize and if the expression were $x^2 - 6x + 9$ then I can factor it as $x^2 - 6x + 9 = (x - 3)(x - 3)$ but the expression $x^2 - 6x + 9 - 4y$ doesn't factor.
