Question from Maria:

could a Trapezoid that is 80 inches high with a 54 inch width top and a 89 inch width bottom and a 80 inch depth hold 58 cubic yards of sand?

Every dimension is less than 3 yards (108 in)

So the trapezoidal prism would fit completely into a 3yd x 3yd x 3yd cube, and thus holds less than 27 cubic yards of sand.

Exact volume = 1/2 (w1+w2) x h x d cubic inches come out as about 9.8 cubic yards.
