



 
Hi Michelle, Percent means "per one hundred" so $8\%$ is $\frac{8}{100} = 0.08.$ Thus $360 \times 8\% = 360 \times 0.08 = 28.8.$ I don't see how this related to a $40\%$ margin. Penny
