Question from Michelle, a student:

Three coins are chosen at random from a purse containing 6 dimes & 4 quarters. What is the probability that the selection will contain at least one quarter?

Hi Michelle,

I'll give you a hint to get you started.

The probability that the selection will contain at least one quarter is 1 minus the probability that the selection will contain no quarters.

Does this help?
