Question from Nadiyah, a student: i dont understand how to answer this question ; - 16 x 6 / -2 i still dont understand it with bedmas / = divison please help!

Hi,

The key to this problem is that if $k$ is any number then

$\frac{k}{-2} = \frac{-k}{2} = - \frac{k}{2} = - \frac{1}{2} \times k.$

Hence

$\frac{-16 \times 6}{-2} = - \frac12 \times -16 \times 6.$

Does this help?
