We have received questions about exponential form many times and it is not clear what is expected. Exponential form means anything that involves exponents. Thus for example 4235 can be written $42.35 \times 10^2$ or also $4.235 \times 10^3 .$ My guess is that for your problem what is expected is that you are to expand each number using base 10, place value notation. Thus the number 745 would be written

\[7 \times 10^2 + 4 \times 10^1 \times 5 \times 10^0 \mbox{ or } 7 \times 10^2 + 4 \times 10 \times 5 \]
