Question from romel, a student:

describe two ways that a deck is square

Hi Romel,

The word square here might refer to two different concepts. First of all the deck might be in the shape of a square. The word square might just refer to the corners where square means a right angle. So in this case a deck is square if all its corners are right angles. Thus a rectangular deck where the length is larger than the width is square in one sense but not in the other.
