Question from asif, a student:

show that (-1,1)~(1,1) or give its counter example

Asif,

The subject line of your email was "equivalent set".

If the sets $(-1,1)$ and $(1, 1)$ are open intervals on the real line then they can't be equivalent since $(1, 1)$ is empty and $(-1, 1)$ is not.
