Question from bob:

If a plot of land on the south side is 290.16 feet wide, how many feet on the west and east side to the north to make a 2 acre plot?
Thank You Bob

Hi Bob,

There are 43560 square feet in an acre and hence $2 \times 43560 = 87120$ square feet in 2 acres. If your plat is a rectangle then the west and east sides would each have to measure $\large \frac{87120}{290.16} \normalsize = 300.25$ feet. If your plot is not a rectangle then I would much more information on the shape of the plot to determine the side lengths.
