Suppose the number of people attending alone is $p$ and the number of couples attending is $c.$ There are two facts that allow you to write equations for $p$ and $c$ which you can solve for $p$ and $c$ and then determine the ticket sales. The two facts are
- The number of people attending is 900.
- Twice as many 20rand tickets as 30,50rand tickets were sold.
