Question from Don: I have a HST total. I need the HST amount broken-down to a PST and GST amount for Ontario. |
Hi Don,
I looked on the Ontario Ministry of Finance site and found that the HST is 13% composed of 5% GST and 8% PST. Hence the GST is $\frac{5}{13}$ of the HST and the PST is $\frac{8}{13}$ of the HST.
