Hi Gavin, The one conversion factor that I remember is that 1 inch is 2.54 centimeters. There are 36 inches in a yard so \[1 \mbox{ yard} = 36 \mbox{ inches} = 36 \times 2.54 = 91.44 \mbox{ centimeters.}\] There ate 100 centimeters in a metre so \[1 \mbox{ yard} = \frac{91.44}{100} = 0.9144 \mbox{ metres.}\] Hence \[1^3 = 1 \mbox{ cubic yard} = 0.9144^3 = 0.76455 \mbox{ cubic metres}\] and finally \[67 \mbox{ cubic yards} = 67 \times 0.76455 = 51.225 \mbox{ cubic metres.}\] You can have Google check my calculations, just type 67 cubic yards in cubic metres into the Google search window.
