Question from Gini, a student: what is the depth of a lot with 45 feet frontage containing 1080 sq yards |
Hi Gini,
The area of a rectangle is the width times the depth. You know the width is 45 feet and the area is 1080 square feet. Thus
\[45 \times \mbox{ depth } = 1080.\]
What is the depth?
