Question from Kassidy, a student: Hey, I have searched through all the questions about conics and how people use them in the real world, but none of them were very specific on how they are applied and the process, why it's so important etc. I have a project due asking these questions and it's been very difficult finding the right answer, if you could name jobs, how they are use and specifically applied that would be greatly appreciated. |
Hi Kassidy,
I have three suggestions for you.
- Go to the Quandaries and Queries page on Math Central and use the Quick Search to search for the term math beyond school conics.
- Go to the Math Beyond School section of Math Central and use the Search window to search for the term conics. You might search for the individual conic names, circle, parabola and so forth to make sure you have them all.
- Go to the Resource Room page on Math Central and use the Quick Search to search for the term conics.
