Question from Lennart: How can I organise 13 players playing in groupings of 4,3,3,3 for 3 rounds of golf in a way that all play with all others but a minimum of times with the same players(?)If possible, nobody should play in the 4 ball more than once. I would be grateful for an answer/proposal! Thank you, LR |

Unfortunately my software won’t balance out the number of times in the foursome. The good news is that I think you can get what you want from Claude’s answer to Bill http://mathcentral.uregina.ca/QQ/database/QQ.09.08/h/bill4.html.
Delete Day 1, and players e, f, and g from the schedule wherever they occur. Use any three of Days 2, 3, 4 and 5.
