Question from LIM, a parent:

"A" is a 4 digit number formed by all the numbers from 1 to 4. When "A" is divided by 9, the remainder is the biggest possible value. What is the biggest value of A?

Lim,

It looks like a trick question. To discover the trick for yourself, try some examples such as 1234/9, 3124/9, and so on, and see what the remainder is in each case. You will soon guess what’s going on.
