Question from Mayra: If 18 cubic yards= 25 tons and it's $28.00 per yard how much is it a ton. I need help please a refresher on my algebra. Thank you Hi Mayra, 18 cubic yards weight 25 tons so 1 cubic yard weighs$\frac{25}{18}$tons. The cost is$\$28.00$ for one cubic yard so that's $\$28.00$for$\frac{25}{18}$tons. In other words it costs$28.00 \times \frac{18}{25}$dollars for$\frac{18}{25} \times \frac{25}{18}$tons which is$\$20.16$ for 1 ton.

I hope this helps,
Penny
