Question from melody, a parent:

5.5 ft wide and 24ft long and 10ft wide how many cords of wood is this?

Hi Melody,

A chord of wood is 4ft wide by 4 feet high by 8 feet long so that is $4 \times 4 \times 8 = 128$ cubic feet. How many cubic feet of wood are in your stack? Divide by 128 to find the number of cords.
