Question from Westun, a student:

Your answer says that a triangle has 0 faces but isn't
the part of the shape you see the face!? Because i am having trouble
with that so could you help me!
thanks! :)

Hi Westun,

I assume you are referring to Stephen's response to the question "How many faces does a triangle have?" Stephen says that the term "face" applies to a 2-dimnsional or flat surface of a 3-dimensional or solid object. As such the term "face" does not apply to a triangle since a triangle is not a 3-dimensional object. Thus a triangle has no faces.
