Question from Doug:

If I make a path 30 feet wide by 2 miles long how many acres am I covering?

Hi Doug,

One mile is 5280 feet so your path is $30 \times 2 \times 5280= 316,800$ square feet. There are 43,560 square feet in an acre so that's a little over 7 acres. You can do the division if you want a more precise number.
