Question from Karena, a parent: 92 cards in all. Melissa has 3 times as many cards as Robert. How many cards does Robert have? |
Hi Karena,
Suppose you deal the cards. Give 1 to Robert and 3 to Melissa, then 1 more to Robert and 3 more to Melissa and so on. So you are dealing the cards in sets of 4. How many sets of 4 do you deal until all the cards are dealt? How many cards does Robert have?
