Question from Katie, a student: Can a trapezoid sometimes be a square? |
Hi Katie,
Good math definitions are usually not exclusive - that's why mathematicians consider a square to be a (special type of) rectangle, and a circle to be a (special type of) ellipse1. A square is also a special type of a trapezoid.
