Question from Kgosi:

How much is 1.5% of 1 trillion?

Hi Kgosi,

The meaning of a trillion is dependent on where you live. Look a the Wikipedia trillion page. In South Africa you seem to use 1,000,000,000,000 or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 depending on the language being used.

1.5% is $\frac{1.5}{100} = 0.015$ and hence 1.5 percent of a trillion is 0.015 times a trillion.
