Question from LeRoy: what does this mean? 1000 billion billion |
Hi Leroy,
In the US and in most of the English speaking world 1 billion is $10^9 = 1,000,000,000.$ Thus $1000$ billion is $1000$ times 1 billion or $1000 \times 1,000,000,000 = 1,000,000,000,000 = 10^{12}.$ Finally $1000$ billion billion is $1000$ billion times 1 billion.
