Question from patience, a student: An empty tank for storing water from a borehole has a volume of 480 cubic metres. If it is filled by a pump that pumps water at a rate of 16 litres per second, how many hours will it take the pump to fill this tank please show all calculations |
Hi Patience,
One cubic metre is 1000 litres so the tank volume is 480,000 litres. At 16 litres per second how many seconds will it take to pump 480,000 litres? How many minutes is that? How many hours?
