Question from Paul, a teacher: I need to make a six (6) team track schedule. It needs to be five (5) triangular (3 team) meets with each team playing each team twice |
Paul,
With 5 meets including 3 teams each there are 15 pairs of teams paired together, counting repetitions.
With 6 teams, there are 15 pairs of teams. That means the best you could do is have every pair together once. Unfortunately, such a schedule does not exist.
