Question from Peter:

If a lake is 8 acres in size and 10 feet deep how many gallons of water does it contain

Hi Peter,

There are 43560 square feet in an acre so multiplying 43560 by 10 gives you the volume on cubic feet. I typed one gallon in cubic feet into Google and got the response 1 US gallon = 0.133681 cubic feet. You can do the arithmetic to get the answer to your question or you can use our volume calculator.
