Question from kalia, a student: Scott starts with $\$10$ and earns $\$5$ and hour. Jill starts with $\$40$ and earns $\$3$ and hour. when will the two have the same amount of money in the same hours? |
Hi Kalia,
$T$ hours after Scott started working he has earned $\$10 + \$5t.$ How much has Jill earned in that time. At what value of $t$ will they have earned the same amount.
