Question from Lisa, a parent:

Hi I'm building a house 30ft long 18 ft wide I would like to pour a foundation of 6 inches deep. How much sand, cement , 1/2" gravel do i need.

Hi Lisa,

You can use our volume calculator to determine the number of cubic feet of concrete you will need. The amount of sand, cement, gravel and water you need is somewhat dependent on the exact nature of the components and the proportions that are appropriate where you are. You are best to go to a dealer who has the cement for sale, describe what you are doing an the number of cubic feet of concrete you will need and ask the dealer about the amounts of the various components.
