Hi, The volume of a cylinder of radius $r$ cm and height $h$ cm is \[\pi\;r^2 h \mbox{ cubic cm}\] and the volume of a cone of radius $r$ cm and height $h$ cm is \[\frac13 \pi\;r^2 h \mbox{ cubic cm}\] So the volume of a cone is one-third the volume of a cylinder of the same dimensions. You can use our volume calculator to find the volume of a cylinder. Penny | |||||||||||||||
