Question from prasad, a parent:

How to find area of a land whose sides are 41ft,33ft,32.3ft and 33.2 ft. Pl give me the formula and proof.

Hi Prasad,

Unfortunately just knowing the lengths of the four sides is not enough information to determine the area. You need an angle measurement or perhaps the length of a diagonal. For example look at our response to Martha a while ago. She had a 5 sided lot but the same is true for a four sided lot. If you do know an angle measurement or the length of a diagonal you can use our 4-sided lot size tool to calculate the area.
