Question from sandeep, a student:

if circumference of a circle is $\pi \; d$ what is the area?

Hi Sandeep,

The circumference of a circle is $\pi$ times the diameter and since the circumference of your circle is $\pi \; d$ it must be that the diameter is $d$ units. The radius of the circle is half the diameter so what is the area of this circle?
