Hi Will, There are many ways to write $-8$ in exponential form, for example $-8 = \left(-2\right)^1 \times 2^2$ or $-8 = \left(-2\right)^1 \times \left(-2\right)^{2}.$ I think what is expected is $-8 = \left(-2\right)^3$ but the question is not clear. Penny | |||||||||||||||
