Question from alexis, a student:

Marina bought 4 books José bought as many books as Ben bought together the 3 friends bought 13 books how many books did Ben buy

Hi Alexis,

If Marian bought 4 books then José and Ben together bought 13 - 4 = 9 books. If José and Ben bought the same number of books then the total number of books that they bought is even. Something is wrong with the wording of this problem.
