Question from anna, a student:

ok. i have b=2/3x+5/7. I'm supposed to change it to standard form. how do i do that?

Hi Anna,

I am not sure what you mean by standard form but I am guessing that you want an expression with only integer coefficients, that is no fractions. If so then with your expression

\[b = \frac23 x + \frac57\]

I would first multiply both sides by 3 and simplify. This will leave you with only one fraction. What do you do next?
