Hi Corey, You didn't say what units you want to use to measure the speed. If you travel 2 miles in 10 seconds then you travel 1 miles in 5 seconds so you might say your speed is "5 seconds per mile". Usually we express speed in distance travelled per unit time so that would be \[\frac{\mbox{ 1 mile}}{\mbox{ 5 seconds}}\] or \[\frac15 \frac{\mbox{ miles}}{\mbox{ second}}.\] Penny | ||||||||||||
