Question from Deszaree, a student:

The same piece of a wire is bent to form a circle
calculate:
a, the radius of the circle
b, the area of the circle

Hi,

I assume you know the length of the wire, I am going to call the length $C$ centimeters. This is the circumference of the circle and the formula for the circumference of a circle is

\[C = 2 \pi \; r\]

where $r$ is the radius.

Solve for $r.$
