Question from Donna:

I lost my safe combination :( it is 4 digit # with the last digit being 2.
I do not think the 1st digit is 1, 2 or 3
Can u help? Thank u :)

Hi Donna,

From the way you have worded this I don't think zero is one of the possible digits. Write back if I am wrong.

Starting from the left the smallest usable digit is 4. Go through the possible 2 digit arrangements for digits two an three in numerical. The smallest two digit number without a zero is 11. The next is 12 and so on so the numbers to try are

4112
4122
4132
.
.
.
4192
4212
4222
.
.
.
4992

That is 81 possibilities so far. If none of them work set the first digit to 5 and try again

5112
5112

and so on.

Next try the first digit as a 6, and continue.

I hope you find it,
Penny
