Hi Ezra, \[(6 \times 4)^3 = (6 \times 4)\times(6 \times 4)\times(6 \times 4) = 24 \times 24 \times 24\] but, since you can rearrange the order of multiplication \[(6 \times 4)\times(6 \times 4)\times(6 \times 4) = 6 \times 6 \times 6 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 = 6^3 \times 4^3\] there are at least two ways to complete your calculation. First you can multiply $24 \times 24 \times 24$ or you can calculate $6^3$ and $4^3$ and multiply the results. Penny
