Question from Julie:

What would the cost of an item be, if the sell price was $\$50$ and the markup 48%

Hi Julie,

Suppose you knew the price and it was $\$X$ and you also knew the markup to be 48%. Using a price of $\$X$ and a markup os 48% how would you calculate the selling price? But the selling price is $\$50$ so you have an equation. Solve for $X.$

Write back if you need more assistance,
Penny
