Question from Muhammed, a student:

A x 4 = E
B/4 = E
C + 4 = E
D - 4 = E
___________
A + B + C + D = 100
what is the value of E

Hi Muhammed,

For the first equation $A \times 4 = E,$ solve for $A$ in terms of $E.$

For the second equation $A \div 4 = E,$ solve for $B$ in terms of $E.$.

Do the same for the third and fourth equations. Substitute into $A+B+C+D = 100$ and solve for $E.$
