Question from Richard:

How many feet on each side of 40 acre square ?

Google can help. I typed 40 acres in square feet into the Google search window and got 1,742,400 square feet. Since your property is a square its area is the square of a side length. Thus the side length in feet is the square root of 1,742,400 square feet.
