Question from Jamie: Who walked a fraction of a mile that is closer to neither 0 nor 1 ? Explain |
Hi Jamie,
I drew a line that is 1 mile long.
If whoever walked, started at 0 and ended in the red section, then that person is closer to 0 than to 1.
If whoever walked, started at 0 and ended in the blue section, then that person is closer to 1 than to 0.
If the person ended at a position that is neither closer to 0 or 1 then that person must end on the black dot, which is half way from 0 to 1.
