Hi Sheila,
I am going to use our response to an earlier question to find the meaning of billion and trillion. Since 1 billion is 1,000,000,000 and 1 trillion is 1,000,000,000,000 The first question is
How many 50,000,000,000 is equal to 100,000,000,000,000?
Canceling zeros this becomes
How many 50 is equal to 100,000?
Since 100 divided by 50 is 2 I get an answer of 2,000.
