Question from Whaha:

the sum of three consecutive whole numbers divided by 4 is equal to 6. find the numbers.

Hi,

I think you are expected to use an algebraic approach so I would start by letting the middle of the three numbers is $n.$ What is the largest of the three whole numbers? What is the smallest? The sum of the three, divided by 4 is 6. Solve for $n.$

Make sure you check your answer.
